Most Rev. Edward D. Head (August 5, 1919 - March 29, 2005) was the 11th Bishop of Buffalo, New York.

Bishop Head was born in White Plains, New York and was raised in The Bronx. Bishop Head was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of New York in 1945.

In 1970, he was consecrated an auxiliary bishop. Bishop Head served, among other assignments, as executive director of Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of New York. In 1973, he was installed as the 11th Bishop of Buffalo.

Pope John Paul II accepted his petition to retire in 1995. Even though he was retired, he continued to play a pivotal role in the Diocese of Buffalo throughout the 1990s and into early part of the next decade. Bishop Head died on March 29, 2005, aged 85.
